I am an author and linguist living in Hobøl in South-Eastern Norway. I am also a fellow of the Norwegian Institute of Philology.
My dissertation was about Isms and Ideology in Modern Chinese. I am currently working on the Dungan language, a variety of Sinitic/Chinese spoken in Central Asia.
My research interests include: linguistics, rhetoric, conceptual history; natural language processing (NLP), computational linguistics; Chinese language and history, Dungan language and culture (the link points to an archive of materials), Arabic, Islam; translation, translingual practice; ontologies, classification; second language acquisition; key concepts, key words.
